An Afternoon Antebellum.

  • Drinking: Spiced chai over chocolate.
  • Wearing: An oatmeal-colored romper over a neon sailor-striped tank. It’s summer, cheri –– or something like it.
  • Listening to: Beach House.

Hello, cheri!

The blog is back.

I won’t bother making excuses as to my whereabouts the past couple of weeks — instead, I’ll tell it to you simply: I took a much-needed vacation & now I have returned, refreshed & full of ideas, bursting to tell you all that has happened but putting on the brakes, because first I have something else to tell you about.

Meet Hilary (the girl who with the lovely laugh at the top of this page). She was one of EIGHT at a collaborative shoot a group of us got together on last month. And let me just say, it was so much fun! Behind the aged walls and reverberating through the hard-wood floors, the creative energy was entrancing. We were all going a million miles an hour, photographers, videographers, students, models, writers, producers, artists, philosophers that we were, enraptured by the beauty of the moment and caught up in our crafts.

The scene was the 173-year-old Antebellum home currently under renovations in the Casey Jones Village. Though the interiors were still a little rough & tumble (as you’ll see in our images), the kind managers still let us in for a sneak peak & a little poking around that day. And we couldn’t be more happy that they did. The light, the textures of the space, were the perfect blend of old-time elegance & classic charm.

But why should I keep blabbing on & on about it when you can see for yourself in my LATEST FASHION VIDEO PROJECT, below.

For behind-the-scenes photos and some top edits to come, check out Kristi & Abby’s blogs –– they organized the whole thing!

And finally, here are some behind-the-scenes photos of my own, snuck in between filming the video.

––More to come soon! For now, the internet is not at it’s best, so I think I’m going to cut this one short & post while I still can. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the video –– it’s an improvement from last time, no?

Glad to be back.
