Africa Diaries: The Cape.

  • Eating: Lots & lots of pizza, South African style. Me – “Are there no tomatoes on this Margherita pizza?” Stacie – “It never comes with tomatoes. That’s something else.” Me – “Not in the real world…” (everyone really loves it here when you refer to America as the ‘real world.’ Not.)
  • Listening to: A variety of pop music as we drive around touring the town.
  • Wearing: High-rise jeans & my denim button-down, blazer cardigan & combat boots.

Hello from Cape Town, cheri!

Today marks my first day in the fine city, & let me just say—I love it here. Unfortunately, this will also be my last day in town, at least for another two weeks, before I head into George. But we made the most of it, stopping first at Origins (you know my priorities. A post on the place to come soon!), shopping our way down the waterfront, & getting a glimpse of the warm-weather penguins, all after driving around what felt like the entirety of the place to get all the best views.

But now it’s lights off before heading out to begin my two-week adventure of an assignment by the sea. I’ll be posting updates throughout the week!
