- Wearing: my self-modified off-the-shoulder Hanes sweatshirt & high-waist vintage purple pants.
- Eating: Liberté Greek yogurt –– so, so tasty.
- Listening to: The bright sounds of Barbra Streisand & cast in one of the only musicals I’ll claim to my list of favorite films: Hello Dolly.
Hello, cheri, & happy New Year to you!

Check out this amazing cake, made by the amazing Jennifer Floyd Robinson! It was for my 21st, & she made it in the shape of a macaroon just for me! Oh, & it tasted just as good.
I spent mine celebrating in Charlotte with some time-tested friends, ringing in the new year with a four-hour raid through Ikea, stacks of sushi, brightly colored cocktails, & sparkling sips of champagne.
A run by Starbucks, an early morning drive home, & a traditional dinner of turnips & turkey, & suddenly it was a whole new year. It nearly slipped my mind that 2012 means more than just a new year––it also marks the start of the third year of this blog! So once again, I’d like to say thanks to all of you dear readers out there. I wouldn’t have made it without you.
I didn’t make any resolutions this year. Instead, I’m focusing on living life right where I am: a budding businesswoman, a soon-to-be college graduate, a daughter, sister, friend. A wise woman left me some pretty powerful words recently, & I think they’re the just the mantra for a new beginning, a brand new year.
