WEDDING FILM (AND PHOTOS, TOO!)

Matthew & Amanda asked me to shoot their wedding not too many months after their whirlwind romance began, & we all knew it as soon as they did––the two were absolutely, obviously, 100% meant to be. Two sillier, sweeter, more similar folks never did walk this planet––I can almost guarantee it. So it was with great excitement that I took up a brand new challenge: shooting both photo and video for one wedding on one day.

In case you didn’t know it, that’s a pretty big undertaking. So, I recruited the best help I could find: my oh-so-talented friends. My girl Julie Hembree took up the majority of the picture-making responsibilities (you can check out her beautiful work here.), & my top pal Ryan Oetting & camera-handy boyfriend Ben jumped on board as second shooters for the film. Spend a day doing what I love with the people I love? I don’t even have to tell you it was the best wedding I’ve done yet. But it wasn’t just my co-creatives that made this day magic. Matthew & Amanda are one of the kindest, most calm couples I’ve run across, always looking out for their wedding party & us camera kids, too. Their day was as much about celebrating their love as it was being with family & friends & praising God for all the goodness He’s given them.

Now that’s what I call a wedding done right.
